Ownership An Owner is a servant of God who actively serves the community at Crossroads. They are ambassadors of God’s love to the church, the community and the world. They demonstrate God’s love for his people in the way they interact with others and serve where they are needed. They have eyes to see and ears to hear what is going on within Crossroads and share that with the leadership in an appropriate and God honoring way. They sacrificially support the community with their attitudes, their time, talents and resources. They have a willingness to serve on teams that deal with sensitive issues where needed, such as church issues (i.e., Tithing Team), personal/family issues (i.e., marriage support, etc), church discipline (i.e., grievance mediation, destructive behavior), and doctrinal issues (i.e., research of an issue for the Spiritual Board of Directors.) Criteria to enter Ownership Journey: Minimum of one year active serving at Crossroads Actively support Crossroads with your Attitude Time/talents Finances Sense a calling to this church and to Ownership Biblical qualifications from 1Tim 3: 8-10 Worthy of Respect Sincere Not indulging in much wine Not pursuing dishonest gain Must hold deep truths of the faith with a clear conscience Must first be tested Then, if there is nothing against them, let them serve as deacons (owners) Called to serve Summary of Process: Step 1: Contact Barb Mahon with your interest to pursue Ownership Step 2: Ownership Packet mailed including date of next “Introduction to Ownership” Meeting Step 3: Attend Intro to Ownership Meeting.
