Esther had Courage to Obey

Today we learned that Esther had courage to obey God, even when it was tough. She was a queen who was given a very challenging, but important task. If she had not obeyed, many people would have suffered. You can find Esther’s story in the Bible, in the book of Esther.

This week, take a few minutes to talk about obedience. Help your child identify people in their lives that they should obey. As you’re out and about, make sure you talk about obedience when you see people that your child should obey (i.e. a police officer, a teacher, etc.)

If you’re looking for a way to learn more about the story of Esther, consider renting or buying Veggie Tales’ “Esther: The Girl who Became Queen”. You can also read the story of Esther out of a children’s Bible with your child.
