HAPPY EASTER!

Today kids in 3’s through PreK celebrated that Jesus is alive! They saw a puppet show and heard the Easter story during large group time.  In the classroom they made jingle bell bracelets to shake in a Praise parade. Easter cookies were the snack and everyone played games with plastic Easter Eggs.

To continue the celebration at home, here are some things to do together:

·        Model praying for your kids! They learn a lot from watching what you do.  Don’t worry about how you pray, just talk to God with them.

·        On a nice day, go outside and have an egg toss or an egg hunt.  Invite your neighbors to join you!

·        Hide empty plastic eggs around the house.  Each time you find one celebrate that the tomb was empty on Easter morning.

·        Have a Praise parade or dance at home with the jingle bell bracelets your child made today.

·        Bring an Easter Egg to the dinner.  Let the person holding the egg tell why they love Jesus. Give each person a turn.

·        Read the Easter story with your child in a Children’s Bible.  Give him a turn to tell you the story in his words. If you don’t have a Children’s Bible you can ask your child’s classroom leader for one.
